Remember That? Game Boy Advanced Video

These little puppies first became available in North America in May 2004 by Majesco. The Game Boy Advanced Video Paks featured several Disney Channel animated series, including Brandy & Mr. Whiskers, Kim Possible, Lilo & Stitch: The Series, and The Proud Family. It later grew and added Pokemon and many Nickelodeon shows also. Most Game Boy Advanced Video Paks cost $9.95 and feature 40 to 45 minutes of video content. Game Boy Advanced Video Movie Paks cost $19.99 and feature up to a 90 minute movie.

The video quality of these Video Paks were nothing close to what is shown in the commercial. Since the Game Boy cartridges had a max space of 32 MB and they often included full length episodes; Game Boy Advanced Video Paks were heavily compressed, this resulted in poor sound and video quality. As a kid you didn't care though, you were watching Pokemon on your FREAKIN Game Boy Advanced nothing could beat that! Unless you were one of those kids foolish enough to by a Video Pak with his savings thinking it was a new Pokemon game.
