Gargoyles |
With Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles on the decline in the mid 90's I looked for another team of outcasts to center my attention on. The show that took their place for a short time was Gargoyles. Stone by day vigilantes by night, I was a huge fan of the show and the toy line that accompanied it.
TaleSpin |
Ever since I saw Baloo and the gang in the mid 90's at the Magic Kingdom during Mickey's Starland Show (which was pretty much a live stage show to promote Disney Afternoon) I was hooked on TaleSpin. I loved the adventures and thought Kit was pretty much the coolest kid around.
Adventures Of The Gummi Bears |
Though I was younger and most likely watching reruns of this show, a rush of nostalgia still comes back to me every time I hear that theme song. I can remember a quick memory of the first time I saw this show as a very young kid watching the Disney Channel at my Grandmas house. That catchy tune has stayed with me to this day.
Mighty Ducks |
We may be alone in this, but my brother and I really loved Mighty Ducks. It came to us at the end of the road for The Disney Afternoon. Though we only had one season it brought at lot of joy and good memories to us. We spent hours drawing these characters and creating our own Mighty Ducks alien heroes, we still have those drawings to this day.
Chip 'n Dale: Rescue Rangers |
Chip 'n Dale: Rescue Rangers was another great adventure cartoon. I loved how they always got into trouble, but they always figured out away to rectify their situation. This was another one of those shows that was a little before my time and I watched reruns as a kid. They even had a resurrection in 2010 as a comic book series published by Boom! Studios.
